The Bixby resident has cheered on the Sooners from row 58 since the 2000 national championship season (“I picked the right year to begin,” he said) and has made friends with many seated in the center of the stadium’s south end zone.
Now Wignall may have to vacate seat numbers 13 and 14, a spot where he’s watched 16 consecutive football seasons, unless he makes a $2,000 annual contribution per seat to the Sooner Club on top of his season ticket cost, which is about $450 each.
