Not liking what I'm seeing. Cal is no power house, but I didn't think the horns would stay with them. The new QB is making plays.

17-14 horns in 3:30 left in the 2nd.

It looks more like what I was expecting in the 2nd half.

I still think the change to Heard will make it a much tougher game for us. Will be a completely different game; Cal is winning with a strong O-line performance.

Yep. Stanford is my 2nd favorite team since I went to grad school there. They looked so bad against Northwestern, I thought USC would take them to the woodshed.

The Horns are very excited about the loss lol....reminds me of the polks after they lose and lose....
I admire them finding the positives out after each loss...just the "this is a young team" after 6 years hearing this is really getting old.

I found myself rooting for the Whorns for the sake of the conference. Haven't felt so dirty since Texas played USC. Had to have a Silkwood shower when it was over.

Cal gave up the most passing yards in the country last year and the defense is horrendous..That isn't any real downplay of Heard, but that's like throwing for 400 against Tulsa.

Agree that Cal has a bad defense. But watching the game, that guy is effin' fast once he breaks containment. And unlike VY, he has a rocket arm if he is given time in the pocket. We'll need to "contain and confuse" to negate the running threat and to take advantage of his inexperience. We should have the studs to do that.
