I see the leftists on here defend the liberal policy mindset again and again, and I have to ask myself why? For me, you defend a position on here that is basically indefensible. When you create a welfare state, which is what you see today, and the percentages of the population give up in their quest to be self reliant, as millions have done over the last fifty years, that if extrapolated into the future, you will begin to see percentages that can overwhelm an economic system. That not only are these that are reliant on the Federal Government not paying any taxes into the system, but of course that are consuming assets of the federal government. A double dose of bad.

Over time, this will develop into a system that will crash under it's own weight. Some would identify that moment as when there are more "riding in the wagon than pulling the wagon". This has been discussed many times over the years, and until now, reaching that point in time was unfathomable. Not any longer. That's why I refer to "Socialism" as a failed ideology. Gosh you remember when "Liberal" was s term the Dems ran from? Do you recall when "Socialism' was a term Dems ran from? With BHO filling his Administration with avowed Communists, and with the old curmudgeon Bernie leading the polls now in some States, you have to think that "Communist" will be a label embraced by those that call themselves "Democrats" in the near future.

the "socialist" tendencies are a response to the corporate ownership we have with the current government

so much money is leaving the country along with jobs that the trend you are describing is getting worse

keeping/creating decent jobs here and actually collecting taxes would help a lof of our problems

in short, it's not like there is anyone trying to start Red October (1917, not 2000)
