I don’t care. He doesn’t deserve that attention from me. You know, the bottom line is, ask Tennessee and their 105,000 people if we’re relevant or not. And a few other teams in the last couple years. It doesn’t matter. And he’s getting paid to promote a league. That’s what he does. And that’s okay, everyone has to earn their money one way or another. :texan:

I think Paul is the most annoying person in all of sports media ... and his Alabama bias is sickening. As much as I love the SEC ... and it is a fun conference ... Bob is 6-4 at OU against the SEC and has won his last three games against us (and is 3-0 against Bama! Gotta love that). So Bob can talk all he wants, lol. :-)

The joy of Finebaum is twofold. First, he is a characture of an SEC/Bama fan. Not content with merely reveling in Bama's victories (many) and scad of talented players, he is compelled by some near psychosis to insist that they are the best of all times and places, world without end. And, in that, he becomes a figure of just ridicule.
And, second, that his fellow SEC/Bama fans take him seriously, thus indicting themselves as morons.
He is a moveable feast.

I lived in Huntsville, Alabama for ten years and listened to Finebaum off and on. I will give him this, he had regular callers who were absolute parodies of the typical redneck Alabama fan but sho were absolutely serious. He knew the value of having them make absolute fools of themselves on air.

Otherwise he's a self-important, pseudo-impartial, partial Alabama homer. Nothing to see here.
