Are the QB's all right handed? Left side of the O-line is young..might be
susceptible to being blind sided. Air raid is a quick release offense, though,
correct? Might be a non issue....
Two senior wideouts, both under 6 feet tall, all the tall ones are younger...
Ross not listed in RB chart...hmmm
Seibert is a true frosh...four years of happiness in the kicking game?!
What's the over/under on Sanchez int's vs getting burned deep?
Ross has at least 3 returns for TD's this year and Shepard two on punts....
Striker has at least 8 sacks, 8 QB hurries and four offside penalties..

All of the above are idle thoughts, bovine scatology or pearls of wisdom,
take yer pick...but only 4 days left! Boomer!

Why is Shepard returning punts? As good as he is being wr he is equally bad at returning punts

We must really have no one who can return punts is all I can figure. The shame of it is he's not exactly sterling at it...unlike say, Ryan Broyles or Jalen Saunders or Justin Brown. Couldn't afford to lose any of them either (and admittedly lost Broyles on a nothing regular-reception play, and Shepherd went out last season on a receiving play, not a punt), but at least when they fielded a punt you knew sooner or later they'd break one on you. I have never sensed that with Shepherd. Or Sanchez. Maybe somebody else will emerge who can do it. I sure hope so.

Has Sanchez ever returned a punt because all I've seen him do is fair catch everything.

It seems Daniel Brooks would be a natural punt return guy unless he just can't catch the ball.

It appears to me that their are enough guys on the depth chart to ensure there are 11 players on the field anytime play is live. There are even enough players to rotate in a fresh guy if needed. What's to over analyze? Let's get this thing rollin'

According to various stat services Sanchez returned two last season for a total of 20 yards. I have a vague memory of one of those but I was pretty sure he fair caught them all too.

He was probably told not to return them.

This guy's thoughts:
1) Is Michiah Quick in th dog house or something? He's listed 3rd behind a walk-on (Jarvis Baxter) and our FG holder... I didn't even know Bothun was a WR until just now.
2) Looks like the punt return game will be about the same this year. (thumbs down)
3) Looks like the kick return game will be about the same this year. (thumbs up!!)
4) Orlando Brown stepping right into the starting LT spot... Good on him. Looks like the coaches think he's got what it takes
5) Steven Parker is still listed at the Nickel... was sort of hoping he would take control of a safety position. I hope the youngsters in the secondary are as good as advertised. I'd like to go the entire season without watching 2 of our own players crash into each other.

I think Quick is not living up to his potential. Coaches may be trying to light a fire under him with his placement on the depth chart.
