Fresno State is pushing the limits of football promotion this fall, taking to the sky with what the school believes to be the only blimp in collegiate athletics.
"You're always looking to do something that nobody else has done," Ladwig said. "Having the only collegiate blimp in the country to brand and market your programs is a tremendous tool."
The blimp, named Bulldog1, is "half a football field long" and will be available for Fresno State to use for the next five years. According to the school, the blimp will take its maiden flight on Aug. 17 and will be seen flying around town the rest of the month.
