Good for him. Good to hear a story like this rather than stories about how players went from mega wealthy to broke in a couple of years.

Wise young man. I hope he has a breakout year.

He was a very good route runner in college, but I expected more out of him in the pros... I blame Detroit Lions more than I blame him, of course. Lions = suck

That has got to be rough when he's looking at a fairly sizeable pile of cash that he's investing.

He's proven himself to be a very wise young man in doing that.

I blame injuries that have kept him out of the line-up. But both Steve Owens and Billy Sims had injury shortened careers up there, so it could indeed be the Lions curse on ex-OU players.

BTW, this is a refreshing story about a young man making wise choices. It's hard to know how many pro athletes are smart with their money since there won't be any "30 for 30" shows on the subject. I'd bet the percentage is small.

I wonder if he still gets free gas?

There will be a new "30 for 30" show in a few years showcasing the football elite 1%'ers and how unfair it is they have $$ while other ex-pro football players are scrubbing pools and other menial work. Ryan will be excoriated for his "hoarding" lifestyle.

He didn't buy in Detroit....he bought in Texas and rents in Detroit during the season.
