I believe is 92,500 at the Cotton Bowl since expansion in 2012. Will be smashed at Neyland stadium this year--capacity of 104,079.

How big was the horse shoe back in '77?

Edit: never mind I looked it up. 83K

That is exactly what I looked up before posting. Assumed that would have been the biggest. I'm guessing the attendance at Neyland will stand as the largest OU has played in front of until we play Meat Chicken at the Big House in 2027.

Probably true, but the decision loop for college stadium expansion is quicker than that for scheduling major opponents. I doubt tOSU will expand before 2017. Maybe Nebraska before 2022, but do they really have the demand to do it? BTW, Soonerstats says 2026 for Michigan. Is there a better source?

You are right 2026--I think I just mistyped it.

What happened to the other 3,509 seats at the Cotton Bowl? 2009, 10 and 11 it says 96,009 attendance, and 12, 13 it says 92,500.
