Anyone see this? http://time.com/3967329/sandra-bland-video-continuity/

I'd think if there were hiccups with the video that they'd also be reflected in the audio. But, I'm not a video specialist.

Seems odd to release a video that was either edited or that would lead a reasonable person to think that the video could have been edited.

Just put it out for discussion. Not sure how I'm trying to hook anyone. Seemed newsworthy. But, you take any Fox news reference as an insult so I'd say you've got the wires screwed in a little tight.

Here's a suggestion that has always worked for me - cooperate with the police. Even if the police are stupid.

When I was 23, a Dallas police officer pulled me over for having a tail light out. My brother and one of his college roommate were also in the car.

The officer was a bit over the top. After he returned with my license and insurance, he asked if any of us had ever been arrested. I told him, yes, that I had once in high school for skipping school/truancy.

My brother's friends had been in an accident in high school where he fell asleep driving home from a school trip and wrecked his car. A friend riding with him died in the wreck and he was charged with involuntary manslaughter. So, he told the police officer that.

At that point, for seemingly no reason, the officer got pissed off, and told me and my brother's roommate to get out of the car. He said that he wasn't "f*cking around" and not to mess with him, but to tell him the truth.

I didn't really know what else to do. I just reiterated that I had, indeed, been arrest for truancy; brother's roommate again said, indeed, he'd been arrested for involuntary manslaughter.

The cop asked if he could search my car. I told him he could. And, he did. He found nothing except for the Christmas gifts we had just bought which were in the trunk.

He gave me a ticket for tail light being out, then let us go.

The thing is, the officer was way over the top and, in my opinion, looking to start something. We just stayed calm answered his questions over and over, and let him search the car.

I don't know why he acted the way he did, whether it was something that happened earlier in the day, DPD was on alert about something and my car fit the description, or whatever. I didn't know and didn't ask. And, I didn't care. I just wanted to get back in my car and go home.

And, I figured the way to do that was just cooperate, no matter how much of an as*s the cop decided to be.

With this girl down at Prairie View, I'll never understand what the big deal was. Just comply with the officer. All he did was asked her to put out a cigarette. He was too jacked up about a lane change, like the officer who was too jacked up about me having a tail light our years ago.

Just do what the police ask, even when they are as*ses. What is the point? None. There is no point. Do what they say just to get them out of your hair.

Fortunately, this officer will likely lose his job. Would be interesting to know whether the hyped up cop who stopped me years ago stayed in law enforcement.

Agree. I was taught to quietly do what I'm told and keep my hands in view at all times as a courtesy for the guys in blue who have to deal with the potential for violence with every stop. My dad was a municipal judge and attorney.

In the past I have always been at my trunk with my insurance and license as a courtesy when they pulled up. That stopped over the last 20 years as you don't exit the car now until they tell you to do so. I had a history as a lead foot in my younger days.

The kicker is he was probably going to give her a warning. I just found the potential for the video to be edited odd.

She was a Chicago community organizer. What are the odds?
