I hate those moronic reports that include the phrase "just a sprain". It conveys the information that a ligament involved, but not much the seriousness. I believe (and hope) what they mean is "just a first degree sprain" which just requires some rest and healing time. A third degree sprain is a rupture and means surgery and lost season. But the term rupture is typically used instead of third degree sprain. Sorry to be pedantic.
