there are some major things going to happen....I'd say in the next 10 years...sad. My kid's world (19/23) will be so different. Not in a good way I fear.

I don't know the answer but the right is hypocritical of debt. You're fine with it when it is for war or any right wing initiative (see Reagan, bush, estate taxes, etc). But, when it relates to the left or even when the left is in charge, you're against it on principal. It's like you're a married man who's a great husband except when you're in Vegas. You know, that don't count.

It rings hollow when you only complain about it during a democratic administration and still think we need to be the world's policeman at an underfunded rate. But, let's make sure to pass all of the Koch's pet projects first.

Veteran's health and other benefits are a great example. You guys are for ongoing wars but don't want to fund the VA.

It amazes me . Just plum flabbergasts me . How no sooner does one leave but another steps up to have his head served to him. If he/they would make reasonable statements with out all the broad generalizations, I could understand. But no , these clowns just want to attack any thing they percieve to be to the right of them.

At least sicem articulates his principles. I respect why he feels the way he does. His main plank isn't "whatever those libtards are for sucks!"

Okie also. You 4-5 circle jerk mothers ratchets are another story.

Right, so all your "left is good, right is bad" post, is great "articulation". Go tit. Why don't you just go find a ***** lib forum where you can roll around in your own spooge?

There ya go again. Have yer little love fest with Sic. you are about to go on ignore since your only Plank seems to be you 4 or 5 Circle jerks, and calling every one names.
You very rarely ever see me type the term "Libtards" simply because I think its retarded.
Come up with some decent stuff or adios MF:boxing:

I don't agree with Sic or Okie on a lot of issues but I can understand why they think the way the do because they've articulated it. I've not seen you offer much "thought" other than responding with derision to anything that I type.

You're against debt. OK. Where do you stand on military spending? VA spending? Capital gains tax? Those are all large issues that impact the debt of which you speak. Yet by asking you about it I'm a dick?

When I see a reference to "lib" from you/yours it might as well say "tard" as it often comes along with some kind of moron reference.

Fine with additional debt as long as it's a GOP Prez? Hardly. As a matter of fact, most conservatives will eliminate W from any discussion of him being a conservative just based on his spending habits. i.e. 5 Trillion in debt during his watch. He expanded the Federal Government in ways that would make one think the libs might have some degree of respect for the man, since we all know that most libs are all about expanding the role, scope and reach of the Federal Government. W did that in numerous ways. He did get one of the two wars right as I recall the left referred to Afghanistan as the "just war". Now in comparison, ole W is looking like quite the miser when comparing his 5 Trillion additional debt to BHO's Ten Trillion by the time he leaves office.
Sad to think that we are "doomed" as a Nation, but when some "responsible" politician comes up with ways to make a program more efficient while reducing waste and abuse in a program, he is immediately branded as trying to starve little kids or is depicted as rolling granny over the cliff. What we have today is unsustainable, most everyone knows it, left and right, but no one will step up. Where are the statesman?

Security versus Liberty? I think it is becoming apparent what the majority of Americans would choose today. And that is really, really sad.

W. sure won with no issues from the right. I think there are plenty of social programs that could be cut back significantly along with subsidies of a number of things.

And I will grant you that there are a lot of "Corporate Welfare" programs that should probably be reduced or eliminated altogether. Tons of "crony capitalism" going on that needs to be scrutinized too.
W, like a lot of other Republicans, ran as a conservative, and gets to DC and sees that spending money is a tool of power, and they can't resist. It has become such a big part of the culture up there.

It's the Tax payer funded "drug of choice". Takes a very strong and committed person to resist it. Most can't. Again, are there any "Statesman" left out there?

W had no issues from the right? You don't expect a Conservative to vote for Al Gore or John Kerry do you?

W had no issues from the right? You don't expect a Conservative to vote for Al Gore or John Kerry do you? True on that. I was referring to the fact that W. won the primaries with relative ease. I was not necessarily a political fan of TCoburn but I respect him because he was a Statesman.

Exactly why do you think GWB and the establishment GOP is so unpopular with the conservative base of the party? Why do you think the TEA Party came into existence? Now, can you point out a similar wing or movement in the Democratic Party that hates debt regardless of which politicians support the cause of the over spending? Didn't think so.

The Democrats have NOBODY in their party that GAS about the debt our kids are inheriting. They have no serious faction that GAS or is working to solve the problem. Entitlement spending and unfunded entitlement mandates account for about 95 % of the debt problem or did you not check out Vet's link.

Enough of the bull**** from the left! You have no credibility when it comes to this problem. None. Zero. Government has never failed to increase spending no matter how much revenue they bring in. Never.

I'm not saying that I have huge qualms about the debt. I think it's an issue that we need to address. However, much like Reagan and W., I think there's a place for deficit spending. I just tire of the relative hypocracy from some.
