Story in Houston Chronicle today:
Don Looney, who was last known survivor of TCU's 1938 National Championship team died at 98. He played receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1940 leading the NFL with 58 receptions for 707 yards. After his NFL career he became a NFL official.
Mr. Looney's son, Joe Don, played at OU and later was a first round draft by the New york Giants in 1964 and spent parts of 5 seasons in the league.
