...and it was Nickelback. Despite their reputation, they put on a decent enough show.

The Tulsa World critic didn't like it very much.

Nickelback wasn't terrible, but the concert experience itself was awful. Nothing about that appeals to me in the least bit. I have a hearing sensitivity thing...I can hear a pin drop halfway cross the county, so loud noises and sustained loudness really get to me. Plus, I don't like people very much especially in large groups breathing down my neck.

I was clicking on this thread when it only showed "I went to my first ever..." and was expecting to be disappointed (a lot of potential with that start, but it's hard to live up to it).

...but you lived up to expectations with the whole Nickelback thing.

I try to meet and even exceed expectations around here. :D

Sic Em is John Travolta? John Travolta is a Nickelback fan? What does that picture mean? I don't know where this is going.

I'm just going to assume TDTW likes your eyes. And your hair.

This was a made-for-TV movie from the 70s. Back in those days, the made-for-TV movies were a big deal because we really only had a few channels to watch. It was before Travolta was big movie-wise. Pre-Saturday Night Fever and Grease.

Anyway, this is the movie that spawned the idiomatic phrase "living in a bubble." Congratulations. You've been given a cultural freebie. Here's the whole movie on youtube. Enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtRG8MlWYxI

I know about the real bubble boy, but I didn't know they made a fictional movie about it. I thought he might be in a bubble, but my mind immediately went to immunodeficiency rather than the idiom. Guess I'm a nerd.

Travolta has beautiful eyes, though.
