Does anyone truly believe, with a weapon like Perine, that Coach Stoops is going to hire a coordinator that is going to completely depart from utilizing that talent? You don't think the topic came up, when they were interviewing?

Really?

What reality do you live in?

Super dum. Why is Henry not on top 5?

I bet Perine fielded calls from other programs (which I know is against NCAA rules) trying to convince him to transfer and trying to convince him that Lincoln Riley was bad for his career.

But, Samaje hasn't announced his transfer yet, so I'm sure Lincoln, Bob and the rest of the remaining OU coaching staff convinced Perine that the offense will still give him tons of carries

Super dum. Why is Henry not on top 5?Henry is the best back to come on the scene since Marcus Dupree. I've read that he might have conditioning issues, though. If I was an NFL coach, I would draft him as the first running back as soon as he is eligible.

I've seen Henry be inconsistent in several games. I totally agree that Chubb and Elliott should be at the top. Perine would be right up there if we had beaten anyone with a pulse and he had been a big factor. The closest was WVU and they did not finish ranked. Silly to downgrade him due to Riley coming onto the scene at this point.

Perine, asked for comment, simply smiled and continued running stadium steps, shadow boxing with 150lb dumbbells in each hand.

Looking at his stats (in two games I didn't watch), he doesn't seem to do very well vs. the state of Mississippi. I don't know what was going on in those two games.

What I do know, however, is if it weren't for TJ Yeldon being at Alabama these last two years, Alabama would be coming off of a Sugar Bowl victory and be the defending champs right now (I suppose they could have lost to Oregon, but I doubt it), and we'd all be asking if it was possible to stop Alabama. Instead, we act like Alabama is crumbling despite the fact that they're coming off of one of the most successful 5-year periods of all-time.

They lose Sims, and they lose Cooper, but with Yeldon also gone, they will finally unleash Henry. I know that almost nobody will agree with me on this, but for me, he's the preseason Heisman front-runner.

At least as best I can recall.

Marcus convinced me when he had a 70+ yard PUNT RETURN for a TD
against Colorado in Boulder..(jus shakin' my head thinkin' 'bout a 235#
punt returner). How many would be tacklers just trip and fall to avoid
that kind of collision?

That the list doesn't have Perine or Henry is all I need to see to know it's pure trash.

He's right up there. If Perine can follow last year, and we can actually win a number of games up to our standards, he'll be right there, too.

It will be interesting to see how much Perrine gets the ball next season with all the solid backs on the team.

This may be good for our RB's future pro prospects as most RBs are expected to be receiving options as well as running options.

Another positive is that the pass happy nature of the offense will lead to more offensive plays per game (probably) which means more chances for them to get the ball, either running or receiving.

There's lots of ways to spin this... I think our players would be happiest if we're winning more than 8 games in a season though

What she said. Players want to win more than we do, prolly.

Good. We'll start out unranked and underappreciated. Our guys play better when they have something to prove.
