Sadly, I think only humans have been definitively shown to exhibit the type of behavior so long falsely attributed to lemmings. How else do you explain the popularity of personalties like Justin Beiber and Oprah Winfrey?

First we obviously need a grassroots approach to this issue. The question is should we let the Animal Defense League or maybe PETA handle this? Hell no especially not PETA. it would be quite the honor but it would not save our most precious resource: the lemming. Let's face it when meerkats run out and we are left looking for a rodent to compare our offense to, the humble lemming will still be plentifully available BUT only if we act now. We must act with honor and integrity.
