. . . but I am happy to see Notre Dame win . . . but only because it meant LSU (and by extension, the SEC) lost.

I was pulling for ND too - and I have no difficulty saying (typing) it. LSU fans were aggressively rude to my parents at the BCS title game and I will never shed a tear when their team loses.

I have heard that Notre Dame fans are classy to visiting fans. Dunno, I didn't make the trip last year.

But I have not heard a single good report from anyone who went to the Sugar Bowl in Jan 2004.

However, all of the LSU graduates I know are great fans. They acknowledge the minority of horrid LSU fans and claim that most of them never took a single class at LSU.

Same here. Now comes the real test...rooting for the ducks. Ewwww.

Rooting for the Ducks too, but I'm not optimistic. I just hope all those awards Mariota collected wasn't a distraction because I think they will need to score a bunch of points to win.

If LSU never won another game, I'd be okay with that.

Also, I'm cheering hard for FSU, because I don't want any of them to win. You know these FSU wins will all soon be vacated, so that's the closest thing to everybody losing.

I think the FSU wins should be vacated but I don't think they will. He's not facing criminal charges and the school said the claims were unfounded. Unless the NCAA starts an investigation, nothing is going to happen. It just shows Jimbo Fisher's lack of ethics.

Okay, ya git a pass...never an excuse to be nasty/rude/vulgar to any opposing
fan. He!!, I even went into Boulder, CO and was treated okay...e.g. you guys
gonna take it easy on us? (This was the year that Marcus Dupree...all 235#
of him, ran back a punt on the Buffs...in fairness, did get some college kids get
in my face after that, but, event staff was cool)....

I cannot do it, ever!! I lived in duckland until recently, and was at the game that we got screwed in. I will never, ever be able to root for them. I hate their arrogant fans, and I hate everything about the program. Pfffftttt!

I don't think it's a minority of LSU fans that are horrid. I watched some LSU guys standing a level above us pour a beer on an old man wearing an OU sweater while he was waiting for a stadium escort in his wheelchair. And I have several more stories to match. Or you could check out an article that some LSU students wrote in their school paper about their experience attending a home game undercover while wearing a visiting team's colors.

Holy Cow! Had I been there, some Cajun a$$ would definitely have been kicked,
with absolutely no mercy and as much publicity as I could find. That is just
abominable...no other word...

My parents were in their 70s at that 2004 game. They had never traveled to a bowl game like that and wanted the experience. They were harassed verbally before and after the game and had beer poured on them as they left. My folks are very quiet people and I guarantee they didn't holler or mouth off - they were just wearing OU gear. I don't give a crap about LSU the team, but i know those fans from '04 are still fans now if they haven't passed on and it warms my heart just a bit to know they melting down tonight.

Yeah, we made the mistake of travelling down there a week in advance to enjoy New Orleans. By day 2, anything red was left up in the room just to avoid having drunks yelling in our faces all day long. Like thats not even an exaggeration. We were followed by this one group of tigerbaiters for well over an hour before they found another group of OU fans to harass.

Yes, it's the majority, not the minority as Houston would have you believe.

Kind of the opposite of UT fans? Living in Austin for 9 years most of the UT fans that I met in Austin were pretty good people. The runs that I ran across outside of Austin tended to be *******s, especially when I lived in Dallas. The further away from Austin they get the more obnoxious they are.

I have known some LSU fans in places outside of LA and they were pretty good people. I guess that you congregate that many drunk cajuns in one spot they just feed off of each other.

I live about halfway between Austin and Waco. Since I wear OU gear all the time and have OU license plate frames, I get a lot of sass but it's all in good fun. I'm a Baylor season ticket holder and wear my OU gear to the games. Again, good playing sass but no harassment.
