"This is a massive failure of leadership at Oklahoma. The decline began in earnest more than four seasons ago. Sad day. Leadership missed it."

What happened 4 seasons ago?

so that would mean something in either 2009 or 2010 (Landry's first two years). Is that when BJW started coaching the secondary? When our LBs started to blow? The year after 2010 (less than 4 years ago) is when our QB development started to stink because Josh moved upstairs.

I think he's referring to the coaching decision that went on when Kittle and company were brought in, then eventually let go.

I've documented here that the end result of that 'experiment' ended with one of the worst classes in Sooner history. You can't miss that badly on a class and expect it to never show up on the field. It did...this year.

No, I don't think so. I've read the entire Twitter thread and it seems like Tillman taking aim at much higher circles than Kittle et al.

Could be, I read it too but couldn't make much of it, he's not being very specific.

Regardless, the time Kittle and co. were in Norman did us no favors, and that at least partially contributed to this years disappointment.

Linebackers have been pretty bad since 2007.
