For leading with the elbow to Knight's head/neck area.

And Oakman announced he'll be back another year for another season of awesomeness. Keep hatin'.

The tv announcers were trying to cover for the poor excuse of a qb we have. I'm sure most of the tv audience was wondering why was this guy playing qb at OU. they were just saying "hey, he probably shouldn't be out there".

The highlight of the game was this:

As usual this loss is Brent Venables fault.

But Sic'Em, I do applaud your dedication in visiting the 6-40 losers of the Russell Athletic Bowl to defend your player's honor so vociferously. I can't imagine the boredom I would need to endure in order to replicate such an achievement. If it were ever to happen, 'twould be a pale reflection of your efforts this fine evening.

Doesn't take much to get Sic'em wound up. I suggest you write a nasty letter to ESPN for airing the segment and allegations.

Sic'Em - take off the green and gold glasses for a minute, and look at it this way: if that hit had occurred in the NFL, the action would have been reviewed by the league, and in assessing the situation post-mortem, Oakman would have been suspended and fined for (1) hitting a defenseless player, and (2) leading with the forearm/elbow to the head of the defenseless player.

Yes, the play was "bang-bang" in nature, but the onus is always on the player initiating the contact to avoid the hit.

Be thankful that the Big XII officiating office has zero marbles and did not take action on that hit.

Actually, there were 3 highlights. Oakman being called out, Venables getting butthumped on the sideline, and OU getting called out on national TV for looking like a JV squad that didn't want to be there.

Sic, your anger is misdirected. It wasn't an OU media outlet that called it a cheap shot. It was ESP****ingN. Go bug them.

he's been allowed to sit at the adult table so long he thinks he is one

No, they called it a dirty play on national TV. I just referenced it. God but you are easy to troll.
