Woo. I thought he was fiery on the sidelines. Yowza. Though his part about all the scrutiny, the media, the "yeah, you won the game but you shoulda slaughtered 'em instead of winning by a field goal" mentality. I honestly don't know how these guys keep their sanity.

Of course, he does have nearly $8 million to walk away, and his new gig at Youngstown will drop that some, but he still gets a nice payday for leaving...Nebraska is paying him to coach elsewhere. Think of it that way.

I wish Bo would say what's REALLY on his mind! I wonder what Tressel thinks
about this explosion?

The upper mid-West is a very weird place sometimes. Obviously I don't know what all went down, but I dealt with enough two-faced "Minnesota Nice" for Pelini's version of events to have an air of truth about it.

My first reaction was this was a case of cutting off his nose to spite his face (although his nose could use a trim). But it sounds like this was suppose to be a private meeting between himself and the players. He should be able to be candid in such a setting, but he still has to know it will get out to the public.

I'm thinkin he was hoping to trash the AD through his players considering he said it two days after he was canned. Nebraska is an afterthought program right now and its hard to pin it on pelini. They haven't been the same since Callahan blew through town.

I'm glad to hear Pelini didn't hold back when talking to his players. I get tired of hearing about coaches taking a new job and just leaving their players in the lurch (to hear about it through the media). Pelini told his players what he felt went down, and it was supposed to be a private meeting. Nebraska is embarassed because they wanted the situation to be sterile and over quickly.

If you ask me, the Nebraska administration is getting exactly what's coming to them.

There is so much stuff that goes on in the world of big money college football...
Bo may have just put some of it out front....first time that I've heard a coach
go off on who just fired him. It is uncomfortable to hear him say that it was
affecting his home life.....

I suspect this is true at just about everywhere. Fans can be and often are downright rabid at some programs (looking in the mirror here). You think a lot of the stuff Bob hears isn't similar? From fans, the media, boosters? I cannot imagine the pressure these guys are under. Not excusing a lackadaisical attitude, but some people are never satisfied. You can sure see why some coaches begin to coast, instead of coach. I mean, why bother?

And now Michigan has apparently offered Jim Harbaugh $8 million per year for six years. Eight. Million. Dollars. $48 million.

To coach players in an ultimately meaningless game. SMH.

If Harbaugh gets $8M, Saban will be whistling when he goes to work the next morning knowing the AD will soon be there with his raise to at least $8.5M.

Just listening to the tone of his voice, I'd swear it was one of the Stoops brothers talking! Must be the Youngstown dialect!

Particularly if he wins this first playoff series.

@BarackObama IS IT LEGAL TO AUDIOTAPE PEOPLE WHO SAY THE F WORD

Well, we have pretty good records on Union casualties, but the Confederacy...not so much. So we don't really know.

Also, as Vet acknowledges, the South lost. It's a bit like the points vs. yards argument.

But do folks from the south know they lost? They keep waving the rebel flag and threatening to secede every time they don't get their way.
