This is absurd!!! And to think that the man could have gotten his listen back in 2019 after 14 DUIs

A Lincoln judge sent a 74-year-old man to prison Thursday for his 15th drunken driving conviction and driving while his license was revoked on three separate DUIs.
Deputy Lancaster County Nick Freeman said Lee Edward Collins is "an extreme danger to the public." "Not only does he continue to drive, he continues to drink and drive," he said.

Deputy Public Defender John Jorgensen noted that a long sentence could be a life sentence for Collins, who was brought to court from jail in a wheelchair and is in frail health.
Deputies pulled him over on Feb. 1 at Northwest 12th and West Adams streets because he was stopped in traffic at a green light. He smelled of alcohol.
Freeman said his license was revoked on three separate offenses at the time and that he was not eligible to get his license back until 2019.

Collins ultimately pleaded no contest to driving under revocation and fourth-offense driving under the influence.
On Thursday, Lancaster County District Judge Steven Burns said that, by his count, this was Collins' 15th DUI and 23rd conviction for driving without a license.
He gave Collins four to five years in prison on each count, to be served at the same time, with credit for 312 days served.

So, 15 is the magic number.

What a joke.
