Well, it was an Austin-based firm, so...they believe the coaches are the brand? Maybe that's the case at a handful of schools.

But, as stated before, most of us were here before Bob Stoops, and will live long enough to be here after he's gone.

By the way, let me go ahead and state that in our pre-games I'm in no way a fan of the in stadium ad-thingys with Boren or Castiglione.

I'm there to watch football and football-related things. I don't want Boren up there preaching for us to be hospitable to opposing fans and teams. If that has to be preached, let it be from Sooner coaches and players.

I understand that Joe is going to hand out various plaques and trophies to various other sports teams chosen to be given time on the field during timeouts and game breaks. But, does he have to be in everything? We already know he's the athletic director. I don't see the point of him having to be in everything.

I'd rather Joe C. go up and sit in a suite and stay off the field. We already have enough hangers on clogging up the sidelines. Take away Joe C., Toby Keith, the wrestling guy, Bosworth...all of them. If they want on the field once a year or so, fine. But, every f'ing game do we need all of that circus on the sideline?
