The problem with Gundy was he just wanted to be a coach, and not a politician. And when T Boone came on the scene, the dog and pony show started. It is known that Gundy does not get along with the AD. But maybe he is just tired of wearing the "Brightest Orange".

I think Heupel is between a rock and a hard spot.
The Pukes are ranked 97th in total D, 50th in rush D but a miserable 120th in passing yards allowed. If we're successful in running the ball from the outset with our 8th ranked rushing attack and our offensive ""brain trust used the 2 weeks over the holiday to put in at least a couple of new rushing plays/formations to confuse the aggie's D some, then OU 60 something and Stool State 20 something.
If we're not successful in rushing the football, get plenty of 3 and outs in the 1st half, and use the same stale rushing plays over and over, assuming our D doesn't make another BU QB look AA by giving him all day to throw with some ridiculous defensive scheme and they don't get any TOs, then OU 31 OSU 21.
This game shouldn't even be close, but for some reason this OU team plays down to competition. I look for Gumby to pull out all the stops, on-sides kick(s), fake-punts, reverses on KOs, and we'll probably get some interesting, off-the-wall D-II type offensive formations from Yurich, etc.

Geez, OU Men's BB is beating the crap out of Mizzou on ESPN-U 56-38 with about 10 min left in the game, and they just said Mizzou has scored 13 straight points.

Goodness, Rich-Rod must have got Heupel's advice on 4th and 1. Read option slow-developing hand-off from the shotgun, and it gets stuffed. I don't know whether the Whoregon D is this good, or the Arizona O is just plain bad, but they're skunking the mildcats 30-0.

The weather forecast has improved in the last couple of days and now the wind is listed at 8-9mph at kick-off. If correct, this will be the best weather conditions for Cody to test out his arm so far. It won't take much for this to be his best passing game ;) If can manage a TD pass, it would be great if it were to Bell and we get to see his TD salute again.

Only sure prediction is that folks will complain about the play calling no matter what.

I've seen speculation that Gundy may move on after this. With one odd exception, bedlam in the Gundy era has been a very happy time for persons wearing crimson.

We've both had seasons which have failed to live up to expectations, but today should go down precisely in line with expectations- congrats in advance for a crushing win.
