My family lived near Quartz Mountain State Park when I was a kid. I remember going to the park's lodge and seeing an active seismograph on diplay there. Apparently Oklahoma has always had low magnitude tremors although they seem to have recently increased in frequency. Or are they just being reported more often?

Fracking is perfectly safe.

Just as safe as an oil pipeline made with East Indian steel running thru the State.

No need to worry about fracking. Just have a nice slice of Swiss cheese.

Bwwahaahhhaa...Earth shattering news. Did you post this with a straight face?" The article was written in 2011 with concerns about "fast tracking" Keystone...it's almost 2015 and it still isn't approved.

Ever wonder why when it's a spill they use gallons instead of barrels? 42 gallons to one barrel...but gallons seems so much more damaging!!!

My swimming pool is bigger than the biggest "leak" which was 21,000 gallons...or in deference to you 500 barrels. But they also wanted to make a big deal about 2,100 gallons...that's a whole 50 barrels. A single oil rail car holds up to 720 barrels...that's about 150% bigger than the "biggest leak"...and that's how it will be shipped if there is not a pipeline. Think rail is safer than a pipeline?

To some people building homes on or near active volcanoes is the "smart thing" to do.

It is a risk reward type scenario. IMO, whatever risks are involved in the Keystone pipeline and fracking are FAR outweighed by the benefits they offer in terms of both national security(i.e.less dependence on Middle East and Russian oil) and a boost to our nationl economy via cheaper, safer and more secure supply of oil/gas.

In fact it seems a no-brainer to everybody except the progressives in this country who are motivated primarily by emotion and not logic.

This is the party of "Science" that your denigrating here. You'll be duly chastised later no doubt.

No brainer should put it in their venue...yet they struggle with it.

I'm curious as to how they do that 'trick' where a guy turns on his faucet and flames shoot out of it.

Is there someone under the sink cabinet with a bottle of propane?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd8pr6uFA_Y

I hope they continue research.

Well, you see, methane gas is naturally occurring in some ground water formations as was the case in the "fire water" as studies proved and debunked gasland claims.

Can't believe 5-0 is throwing that out there. Fracking isn't even explained correctly in the video.
