Barack can't be expected to admit he was a failure----Someone else had to be blamed

Hard to believe that he would only last 2 years...that's a real slap in the face to Hagel.

Will be interesting to see how Obama tries to sugarcoat this.

Tom Coburn on Hagel's appointment by Obama in 2012

Republican Senator Tom Coburn from Oklahoma said bluntly: “I cannot vote for Chuck Hagel.”
Aside from his controversial statements, “he does not have the experience to manage a very large organization like the Pentagon,” Coburn said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “If there’s a place that we need great management it’s the Pentagon.”

Thankless job.

I can't blame the Republican for quitting. I was surprised he took it in the first place.

5-0True dat! working for the US Armed Forces under Pres. Obola requires a special kind of person. One who wants to preside over the demise of the military. Good on Chuck for quitting.

Hagel is an idiot. I remember during his confirmation hearings how uninformed and lost he acted. Used to be anyone acting that ignorant would have been disqualified. Not anymore.
Having stated that, if Hagel was fired, and I assume he was, maybe he will come forward as his two predecessors have done, and testify as to the abject incompetence of this Administration, and as to the willful neglect BHO showed in the face of a rising threat in Isis, not to mention the way Russia has led him around by the nose. I'm sure he has multiple examples of questionable decision making.

One thing you have to say about BHO's Administration, when it comes down to making decisions in the best interest of himself and party, versus what is in the best interest of the Country, he'll take party.....every time. He obviously is beholden to the Democratic Party in a much higher degree than the Country.

I'm not sure he was ready for that job....No one is under this president....As bad as he has ****ed everything up.....People in that position are only as good as those above them....He had no chance....

I've never known anything about this guy but, every time I've seen him talking he seemed awfully discombobulated.
