Kansas is trying to beat themselves, and while we are trying to make it hard, we're no match for them.

Cody's throws usually look good until you realize he overthrew his receiver by 5 or 6 yards. Kansas is expecting a run or screen on every play, and they're right 90% of the time.

The way I see it, unless you're an elite program, you should storm the field/court once every 4 years so that the dedicated students get to experience it once. That's probably going to be their biggest home win in a 4 year period.

I think we'd have seen him already if we were actually playing for anything other than pride at this point of the season. This is one of those situations where you keep Thomas in to keep him happy and try to avoid benching him so he won't transfer. At this point, though, I'm not too afraid of him transferring. I'm ready for Heupel to go, and force him to take all his underdeveloped QBs with him.

Exactly. Perine is great, but he's not at AD's level. He's beat up on awful run defenses like Tech, Kansas, and WVU, but he's been less than impressive against the better run defenses like TCU, KSU, and Texas. I'm excited for his future, but he has to get better if he wants to start in the upcoming seasons.

With about a minute left in the Gopher/Corn game, a Nebraska receiver goes OB, catches a pass about the Minnesota 5 yard line, is stripped of the ball and it's called a good catch with a fumble (confirmed by replay) and the Gophers ball.
Now, I'm no fan of the Corn and Pellini, but why wouldn't the ball be ruled dead immediately when the receiver caught it, if it's illegal touching (receiver not forced OB and is 1st to touch it), with Nebraska retaining the ball at the original LOS?
It it was a catch with no fumble by the offense, it would've been ruled no play but loss of down .

When you get this late into the game, you might think they defense loads up the line scrimmage to stuff the run, which would work against Perine. However, when you're this late in the game, and you know you're going to lose, nobody wants to step up and get hit by Perine. KU might be better off putting in the backup, because at least they'll play hard in order to get more playing time.

I will admit that RSFr shouldn't be out there, though. Just like with TK last year. It's a tough situation to be put into, and there's plenty of time to prove. Just like TK last year, though, he's an awful passer right now.

He looks like a RS FR in his 2nd start and both games were tough throwing conditions. Wind last week and drenching rain this week. He hasn't shown anything to get excited about, but way too early to say he won't pan out. It's a very different situation than TK last year because TK won the starting job and practiced with the 1st team in camp. Thomas may not even have been the backup had Baker been cleared and certainly not if Bell had stayed at QB.

Weak, very weak, so much so, that it's laughable. If this game would've been on one of their networks instead of Fox, their talking heads would've stained their paints to see who would've been the 1st to report it. He probably won't even get a helmet sticker.
