From the article:

Republicans have promised tough scrutiny of Obama's pick after years of battles with Holder, who is close to Lynch and appointed her as chair of a committee that advises him on policy.

Her accomplishment/background seems to make her a solid candidate, but that small portion I quoted is a little concerning. People can be close without sharing the same political stance, but you never know. I'll be watching the Senate confirmation process, because if there's anything questionable in her background, it'll show up. So, I guess I'm still undecided if she is the best available. I have no doubt that Obama wanted to replace Holder with a black person, and I don't have a problem with that, if she's qualified.

She's a hack. Voter ID law's are racist, she says. On another note, have y'all noticed that the Dim's only mention black's and messicans as minority's? Why don't they mention Asians or indians or other minority's? You know why.

Not much surprises me now, after the shellacking we Dems took on the
4th. What little I know about Lynch is that she is tough as nails going
after New York crooks...white collar and otherwise...if that is true and
she doesn't pull a feminine version of Eliot Spitzer along the way then,
more power to her.....

Why even base an opinion on merit when there's a much easier way to judge ?

Just take one look at the choice and instantly make a decision.

Smart.

The Senate has already vetted her twice and approved her twice by acclamation.

I guess that's OK with me.

She was twice the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York under two administrations, as well as a partner in a major corporate law firm. U.S. Attorney for the E.D. New York is about the toughest legal job out there, so yes, she is highly qualified for AG and about the best candidate out there.

Not to my knowledge - too busy having Wall Street crooks, mobsters, and terrorists prosecuted. But I did notice she did not graduate from Harvard Law School with honors or magna cum laude like Obama, so that is a minor strike against her.

Judging by the way Obama interprets and enforces the law, not graduating from Harvard will be an asset.

When he graduated Harvard Law, it was apparently publically announced who graduated with the various levels of honors, and Obama was given magna cum laude honors, which meant he finished in the top ten percent of his graduating class, an exceptional achievement. His precise grades and class rank have never been made public, as far as I know. His undergraduate grades from Columbia have never been released to the public.

I was serious about wanting to know. Seems she is qualified, but again is she the MOST qualified or simply a well qualified Black woman?
