here in Des Moines is called Beggar's Night...instead of trick or treat, the
young 'un sez a corny joke, such as "knock, knock? who's there? boo.
boo hoo....don't cry...not certain why it developed but certainly different
than "Trick or Treat"...
Point is...I got to go with my grand son to say "Trick or Treat"! and, Happy
Halloween" and Thank you, after the treat (no joke from 3 yr old...heh) and
truly enjoy neighbors who appreciate polite, engaging, charming (no prejudice
here) kids! Happiness is bein' a Grandpa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
