In the UCLA game, yes. But then again a pile of turd is a lot better than Paul Thompson against TCU too.

Bomar was actually a pretty darn good QB once he settled in. He was gutsy. Unlike Knight he would sell out to get a first down. Knight seems to have no awareness of the first down line. UCLA aside we were light years better with Bomar than Thompson.

I don't like how the Bomar situation ended but I also recognize that there are probably plenty of players we all remember and love who made the same mistake.

Amen to that! 20 or so passes a game, use the talent we have at back and let the qb run some. Get the backup qb in the game some in case the first one gets hurt/gassed.

I've said this before; When we lose and are presumed "out of it" for the season, it does not make my life worse.
BUT, when we are "still in it" it makes my life more fun.

oh, and the PATHETIC use of TO....why in the *uck do we continue to signal plays in with 10 sec left and expect them to run smoothly....on top of that we call a TO and then run 2 FRICKING guys out at the last second...we can't even get 11 in the huddle on the sideline.
