Question: How is Winston's situation different from that of Shannon?
Answer: It is not. EXCEPT, he and the team stonewalled everyone for almost two years. Now, if only they can slow play a little more, there won't be any conclusion until, oh, say February or so of 2015. At most Winston will lose his privilege of using the training facilities to get ready for the combine.

But Badg, they are not suspending him. They are merely scheduling a hearing. One need not be too terribly cynical to script the outcome of that as:

1. Hearing sometime in the next month or so. That moves us to, oh, early November.
2. Formal investigation called for. "By God, we'll get to the bottom of this!" Lightning speed and we're at early December....end of the regular season.
3. Appeals process. Bare minimum of 30 days, plus some allowance for the holidays. Maybe as much as 90 days. In any event, we're now into mid-January.

And, VOILA!, FSU gets Jameis through any conceivable games this post season. And did anyone really think he was coming back next fall?

Jimbo may not have controlled his moron, but he, or more appropriately his puppetmasters, have controlled the process in a magisterial fashion. They won't be sanctioned by the NCAA because the NCAA is toothless and corrupt and weak and useless; and the Federal Government won't make them pay by yanking their research projects because Florida is a swing state and there is really no constituency for 'rule of law' when you can point to formalistic compliance.
About the only people who will continue to follow this will be the New York Times who will, undoubtedly, write another one or two scathing articles, meticulously documented....by people without subpoena power, laying bare the soulless manipulation of the system by FSU boosters and staff and by local 'law enforcement' and the casual non-feasance of the so-called regulatory bodies involved, then we'll all go on about our business.

I was referring to the Clemp game suspension. You know, the game where idiot stupidhead came out fully dressed in pregame warming up his throwing arm like he was going to play, then Jimbo was like "No, moron, you're suspended, change into sweats before more TV cameras show you like this"
