Vols have no depth and will likely wilt in the 2nd half..but go Vols.

Look for Tennessee to be top 15 next week just for competing with UG.

This is turning out to be a good early game of the day. Last weekend early games were brutal.

Worley is a tough SOB

Gurley pointed and threw the ball down. That is a celebration penalty in 2014? LMFAO

Spiking the ball? When has that not drawn a flag? Not that I agree with it. I personally don't find anything unsportsmanlike about that at all.

I would love to play Georgia.

Worley's back in. Went thru the Georgia D for 6 like cheet thru a goose, then got the 2. 3 pt lead for Georgia.

I don't think the Vol D can stop Gurley, though. Tennessee needs some Sooner Magic.

RUH ROH! Tennessee to get the ball back!

Eielson
9/27/2014, 02:16 PM
Good news: 4:38 left and Tennessee has the ball

Bad news: They have to go 99 yards to score

Fumbles it in endzone. TD Georgia......

A spike hasn't drawn a flag for decades.

Although I guess I forget that they keep changing the rules. If I was a player, and I scored a touchdown, I would be afraid to run back to the sideline too fast. lol

If that running play wasn't a QB audible, then B. Jones should fire his OC immediately after the game.

TD Vols

Eielson
9/27/2014, 02:25 PM
Meanwhile, Tenn goes right down the field and scores. 35-32. 2:14 with all 3 TO's left!

Where's that SEC defense!?!?!

Eielson
9/27/2014, 02:28 PM
UGA hops on an ugly onside kick.

Eielson
9/27/2014, 02:29 PM
Why is Tenn not calling a TO?

Eielson
9/27/2014, 02:30 PM
First down UGA. All but over. Tenn might have a few seconds if they stop them here, but not much more.

okiewaker
9/27/2014, 02:32 PM
Dang. Vols hung around the entire game and just couldn't pull it out in the end. I'd say these 2 teams are evenly matched. Good game

Eielson

UGA converts on 4th. :(

Eielson
9/27/2014, 02:37 PM
If Worley doesn't get hurt, I think Tenn beats UGA. What a joke.

Maryland is kicking Indiana's azz in the 3rd. 27-9.

Maryland has got to have the butt-ugliest uni combos in the country, and their helmets are definitely horrendous. Indiana's silver helmets aren't much better

Probably don't have it at my location but what channel is this one? Big 10 network.

Just switched one of the smaller monitors over to FS-1, and the baseball game is tied. There was a blurb that the Texas/Kansas game was being switched to FS-2, which has about as much circulation as the LwH network. I bet the whorn fans are going nutz

I figured the Vols would hang with UGA for a half and then wear down in the second under Gurley.

I'm not sure where you get you info. Spiking the ball is an automatic unsportsmanlike penalty in college. We've had a couple of those ourselves recently and Stoops let the player know about it.

There's a reason NFL players spike the ball on almost every TD and you almost never see it in college. It's been that way at least dating back to the '70s when I started watching football.

You don't see flags thrown on spikes often because college players not named Kenny Stills are too smart to spike the ball.

It has been a penalty in college for as long as I can remember to spike the ball.

And if I recall correctly, Stills was just a FR when he did that ONCE.

Thanks for clearing that up. I've been questioning my football knowledge since he said that. Not that I'm anywhere close to the level that some of our posters are here. I don't have the knowledge that a former player or a coach would, but I've been going to OU football games since I was 5 and I could have sworn that I've seen plenty of flags thrown for spiking the ball.
