We were at the game on Saturday night...it was stupid how dominate GMC was...he was in the backfield all night long

He is poised to have a DPOY type of campaign this season

Gerald McCoy (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/108402/gerald-mccoy) is ridiculous.

The Buccaneers' franchise player posted an 8.2 grade on 19 snaps.

Eight point two. On nineteen snaps.

To put that into perspective, over the course of the entire 2013 preseason, only one defensive tackle (Geno Atkins (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/108655/geno-atkins)) posted a grade higher than 8.2, and it took him over 70 snaps to do so. PFF grades are cumulative, which means McCoy racked up positive marks at a ridiculous pace on Saturday night.
For more perspective: McCoy's 19 snaps finished with a better grade than Haloti Ngata (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/1415/haloti-ngata), Paul Soliai (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/16760/paul-soliai), and Linval Joseph (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/108661/linval-joseph) earned over the entire season last year. He put in a season's worth of positive work in a quarter of a preseason game.

Gerald McCoy (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/245789/gerald-mccoy) played the best 19 snaps you'll likely see from an interior D-Lineman. Sack, hit, hurry, batted pass, and an absurd +8.2 grade

McCoy is a dominant player, and a true game-changer on defense. Teams have to scheme to stop him, or he'll simply stop every run and pass play before it starts.

Thank your lucky stars the Lions sucked just a little bit more a few years back, or Tampa probably would have taken nut stomping Suh.

Initially looked like Suh would be the better pro, McCoy is now arguably the best pro in that 2010 first round

As stated...this is just preseason, but GMC has been UNSTOPPABLE!!!

Defensive Tackles

1. Gerald McCoy, TB: +16.7
Breakdown: While it’s important to remember that it’s preseason, the Tampa Bay defensive lineman’s play this August has been little short of ridiculous. That grade has come on a mere 67 snaps with McCoy producing multiple highlight reel plays despite only being on the field such a limited amount of snaps.
Signature Stat: From just 21 snaps against the run, McCoy has recorded four tackles resulting in a defensive stop.

Are they double teaming him, or feeding some poor rookie/scrubs to him over and over with no help?

I ask not only cuz they're not usually televised in this area, but also cuz the last episode of Hard Knocks was a poor rookie trying to stop JJ Watt

The Buccaneers have generally played their 1s against the opponents 1s...so he is not feasting on rookies. He has just been on a mission

His initial burst into the O-Line is really something to see...he is by far the quickest guy off the snap!!

He is also the clear leader for the entire team this year...this quote is pertaining to the Buccaneers bringing in Richie Incognito

Rick Stroud ‏@NFLSTROUD

McCoy on Incognito: "If there's a problem we'll deal with it accordingly. He would be coming to my team so some stuff would have to change.

I think Roger Goodell and the rest of the NFL wants to hug Gerald.

Fortunately, Gerald wants to hug them right back :)

That's truly one time I'd take Suh over McCoy. McCoy would give Incognito a chance to play nice. Suh would just injure him, put him out of the game, and be done with it.

Can you tell I'm extremely jealous that you have Gerald. Then again, I bet you envy a playoff regular like the Packers. Oh poor Green Bay and their MVP quarterback and Super Bowl trophies ;)
