The Wall Street Journal posted a study today which claims to create a four tier super conference with Bama, LSU, GA. Fla. Auburn, ND. Mich. Ohio St. OU and Texas in the top tier. Okie State was in the 4th tier. Baylor, Iowa State, and Kansas did not make the approximately 45 team league. See link;

I've seen similar set-ups suggested, and it makes sense (plus, the games would be awesome).

An interesting suggestion I recently saw used the European soccer "relegation" system. Teams that finish at the bottom get dropped to D2, while teams that finish at the top of D2 move up to D1. It would be interesting, but almost impossible..

While all of the realignment stuff has kinda settled down, I do think the landscape will look very different 20 years from now.

Why would a Premier League system be 'almost impossible'?
Seems like it would be extremely easy.
