T-Marsh, Calmus, and TRRW would have completely bottled up Radio. Beyond that, they had nothing.

The Horns probably had the better collection of talent than the 2000 Sooner squad ... higher ranked recruits, better NFL talent .... BUT ... that OU team was just that ... TEAM! They had something intangible that few teams ever have ... they were a group of guys that just played so far above the sum of their parts that there was no way they were going to lose.

Also don't forget who was on the sidelines.

Stoops would have shut down the horns.

Probably shut them out.

Mack was always scared of Stoops.

The grit and determination of the 2000 team is hard to quantify. Not the most talented team (nor as talented as the 05 Texas team), so it's hard to know exactly how they would match up. However, you rarely see teams that play that the 2000 team did, and I'd take that over better talent 10 times out of 10.

The mind of the quarterback has something to do with it, too! The players said that when OU was in a huddle, Huepel, was explosive and positive, he was determined to win! I remember when Mangino pulled Huepel over after Nebraska was up 14-0, he said what plays do you like to run, and he said, "all of them." Actually, Huepel just took the game over. He wasn't the fastest, strongest arm, but the smartest and craftiest!

unsavory collusion from the state of Ohio bounced the 2005 Texas Longhorns from the bracket in the very first matchup in the very first round to rob the tournament of legitimacy.

Tee hee Ohio. Thanks again for Bob Stoops!

That team only had 2 players selected in the draft. This was a young team for sure.

Watch the game at k-state. We had 11 yards rushing, they brought the house and Heup still made the plays.
