Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops is on the verge of joining the $5 million a year club. Oklahoma's Board of Regents is expected to approve the pay increase when it meets Wednesday. The deal, according to multiple reports, would make Stoops the second-highest paid college coach only trailing Alabama's Nick Saban. After the Sooners defeated the Crimson Tide in last year's Sugar Bowl, a handful of NFL teams courted Stoops.
