that you all have watched the Memorial Day Concert on PBS. If not, it'll
most likely be on YouTube somewhere. As a nation, we are gifted to have
so many warriors to leap forward and defend us, never to ask for any thing
but come home to nothing. On this Memorial Weekend, find a vet, you can
figure it out...they are the proud, the ones standing straight and looking at
the flag with pride...a tear or two rolling...and say thank you! I'm glad you
are on my side.

Great post, Rock. Didn't see the concert, but will definitely look it up.

A very nice wish, but Memorial Day is the day set to honor those who have fallen while serving.

Veterans have their own day in November.

Don't wait till a holiday tho to thank a Vet. Any day will do.

As a vet, I concur. This is a day reserved for those that died. A solemn day of remembrance. Whenever someone says "thank you" to me on Memorial day, I always say "but, I didn't die". Then I chuckle to myself because I am so much smarter than everyone else ;) .

I just say Thank you then move on to other things.

Welp, y'all missed my point...all I wanted to say was to NOT wait until
November to say thanks, by Gawd, our guys are hurtin' all year and a
bunch of 'em aren't getting the respect they deserve. I see 'em around
and don't wait until November to recognize their sacrifice. Holy Bells, if
they're dead ya cain't say thanks, now, canya?
