Brennan wasn't in OU gear, but was getting his head settled in:

I actually think Clay has a shot. His ability to absorb a playbook and execute in all phases of the game w/o mistakes would certainly please Manning. It's got to be tough for an RB to come in and perform with the entire game being called at the line. The question will be is he physically capable to compete at that level.

Thanks for posting!

Thanks for sharing! It will be difficult to make a team as good as Denver, but they've had good coaching at OU to help them make the final roster.

I believe both Clay and Nelson have reasonable chances to make the team. I think Nelson will be on the final 53 man roster. He's freakishly athletic, and I think we kinda forgot just how good he can be after he was left out of games. The Broncos need depth at OLB, and there's no reason to think Nelson couldn't be that guy and contribute on special teams.

Clay will have a tougher go, but I think he at least makes the practice squad. Outside of last year's first pick Montee Ball, the Broncos don't really have a stable and consistent back. I think Nelson can come in and at least challenge most of the guys on the roster.

It'll be interesting, but I'm happy to have a Sooner back in Denver.

Clay turned into a great player for us. Man he was very smart and clutch.

Stay away from the legal weed guys ;)

Can you imagine a Bronco player landing a gig to represent one of the weed companies in Denver? I can see the commercial now:

"I don't smoke XXX brand pot now, but when I retire with achy joints and post concussion syndrome, you can bet I'll have XXX in my pantry for fast relief!"

Are you staying away from the legal weed, Boulder? :P

I live in CA now. I may go back to Boulder in the summer to ride bikes with my old buddies. If I do, I plan to buy the smallest quantity available just to say I bought legal pot! Might even buy a related T-shirt if one catches my eye. Not sure what I'd do with the stuff though, give it away I guess. I smoked the stuff when I was in HS in OKC, and a did a little bit as an undergrad in Norman. But once I got to grad school at Stanford, it seemed liked an activity that adults out grow. I fully support the medical use of weed and having it legal in a couple of states allows researchers to do more clinical trials. But like any other drug, I hope I never need it.
