Sounds pretty minor, but Stoops isn't going to take that risk which tells me he plans on seeing Bell playing TE from the jump.

I'm not sure Blake is better than McNamara, but Bell can bring a different perspective to the position, he's a senior, and he's about as self-less as anyone on the team, so I suspect Stoops plans to give Blake every opportunity to show what he can do.

Blake also provides some obvious distinct skills at integrating him into the passing game--as the passer. Lots of potentially fun stuff there.
