Report: Texas A&M's Kenny Hill arrested for public intoxication
By Tom Fornelli | College Football Writer
March 28, 2014 4:57 pm ET

Kenny Hill is expected to compete for a starting job in 2014.
This is not a good start to Kenny Hill's bid to become Texas A&M's next starting quarterback.
According to The Eagle, citing College Station police reports, Hill was arrested early Friday morning for public intoxication. Hill was taken into custody around 3 a.m. when he was found passed out in a planter outside a local restaurant. When police asked Hill who the current president was he responded with "Bush." He has since been released after posting bail.
Public intoxication is a Class C misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine.
Whether or not this will lead to further punishment from the school remains to be seen, as Texas A&M is yet to comment on the arrest. Hill is expected to compete for the starting quarterback job in College Station this season as the Aggies try to replace Johnny Manziel.
Hill appeared in five games for the Aggies last season, completing 73 percent of his passes for 183 yards and a touchdown.

Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest early Friday morning.
More From ESPN.com
Coach Kevin Sumlin has been swift in dealing with off-field issues this offseason, but the last thing he wanted was to have to deal with another, Sam Khan Jr. writes. Story
Hill, who will be a sophomore this season and is competing for the starting quarterback job, was arrested just before 3 a.m. on a public intoxication charge, according to the Bryan-College Station Eagle.
Texas A&M athletic department spokesman Alan Cannon confirmed that Hill is "suspended indefinitely from all athletic activities per athletics department policy."
According to the Eagle, which obtained the police reports, Hill was arrested at Chimy's, a College Station restaurant and bar, after being found passed out in front of the establishment. He later posted bail and was released.
Hill, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound quarterback from Southlake (Texas) Carroll High School, appeared in five games last season. He was 16-of-22 passing for 183 yards and a touchdown in relief duty. He is competing with senior Matt Joeckel and true freshman Kyle Allen this spring for the right to succeed former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel as the Aggies' starter.

Crazy kids. The older I get the more I chalk these things up to life lessons. He'll be ok. I have never seen a guy layed out in a planter tho.

I'm sorry but a drunk college kid not driving or assaulting people is not something I'm going to worry about

Someone should have just made sure he got home safe. Not sure why he needs to be arrested or suspended

Well, there's drunk and there's passed out drunk.
I'd be worried if he was my potential starting QB.

Why would he not attempt to get a booze related offense. JFB went to jail just before his first season as starter. Its apparently party of the AtM training program

And now Ricky Jones-Seals arrested for disorderly conduct. Though this arrest will not punish him that much, he dodged a bullet in way of a much more severe crime. A 19 year old in the bar district of a small town at 2:25, belligerently yelling obscenities leads me to believe he was intoxicated. He should have been arrested for something like that, not just disorderly conduct.
