Don't other conferences allow this?

Is it because the bands don't know how?

Apparently, the bands were allowed to play before, but piped-in music wasn't allowed. Just what I want to hear at a football game - piped in music.

It might turn into a bad sportsmanship opportunity as well. Remember when OSU would pipe in "Shut up, shut up" music lyrics whenever the OU band played at a Bedl@m game a few years ago? Then again, this was the same OSU that was throwing turkey legs at our players (while one of their cheerleaders tried to trip one of our guys) after we beat them last year in Stillwater

It's bush league. I hate it in the NBA and all sports events. If your crowd can't make noise, just throw money down on a nice soundsystem. Annoying as $h!7.

I would assume this would be done similar to the NBA. Not for "noise" but for entertainment? Lets face it, the SEC isn't the most exciting football out there!

I hope the music they play isn't too fast for them.

I'm not a big fan of music at football games.
Annoying.

Next, they will push for extending the play clock to 1:30 so that they can play songs with pro-sec subliminal messages.
