Good night, Ralph. We watched about every episode when I was kid up until Richard Thomas left the show and they replaced him with an actor who was absolutely not John Boy. A few years ago I saw Richard Thomas in the stage version of Twelve Angry Men in Lexington. A few days later, my friend who drove a limo said he took Richard to Liquor Barn and Richard had a whole cart full of alcohol for their cast party. My friend said Richard was a nice guy, and he bought the booze because the rest of the cast expected him, the big star, to pay for it all. I guess he didn't have those old bootlegging spinster sisters to buy from in Lexington.

He was good as Gibbs' dad on NCIS, too. But, Papa Walton is his signature....

I thought this was about Ralph Kiner when I first saw it. About the same age too.

Did any other Ralph's die recently?
