well, it was a "gallant" effort...I guess. This is what I'm talking about...I get caught up in the hype..6/2 2nd in Big 12...thinkin wow this team just might really do well. I do think they won't get blown out but also are not "above" any team in the big 12. Crap, tcu about beat ut, we still have to go to osu, ku, tt..and have tt, ksu, bu, ut and wv at home. 5/3...6/4 = 11/7

Yeah, I hated to pencil in a loss, but they have been playing well, and OU just isn't at that point where they can just be better. I honestly think bu/ut/osu/isu/ku all have better talent. We have just played really well together. Clark has disappeared the last few games...Cousins and Neal take some ill advised shots. The only 2 who have the green light for me are Buddy and Jordan..but that's just me.

Fortunately, I wasn't able to watch this game, so I don't really know what the exact situation was. I've seen many timeouts be called prior to a possession that led to no points, though.

Hindsight is 20/20, but knowing what we know now, I really, really wish we gave their defense more time to prepare... for losing instead of overtime :(

I'm with you on the talent level, but I'm not sure about BU & UT. I do think this time next year we will be better than all but a couple of conference teams.

You're right, Clark has gone silent, but I think that may have been the gameplan for opposing teams...because most of the year, he wasn't being defended too well. I hope he can pick it back up for the stretch, because he made a big difference.

When Cousins is on, he can shoot the long ball, but when he's off, he's really off. I love the kid, but he still makes me nervous. Jordan is a stud, and will only get better. Same with Buddy. I also think we depended a little too much on Spangler inside the past few games. He's really not built for that, and has played over his head inside most of the year.

Oh well, WVU is a tough place to play, and we aren't the only decent team to lose there this year.

Agree on Spangler. Next year we get some height, but not bulk. If the 6'10 kid can play center that put Spang at teh 4...w great position for him. I do think we will be as good or better next year. If the 6'7 kid can take CC's spot.

Then looking ahead to the yr after when Jordan, Buddy, Cousins, Spang will all be Sr. I hate to "look ahead" like that.

Shall be an interesting final couple of weeks.

I don't really see Spangler as a 4. He's got the size of a 4, but he's a 5 all the way based on skill set.

he has hit some outside shots..not many. I'm thinking as a 4 he can roam more...not that we have a true post oriented offense, nor will with LK. He wants 4 guys that can move and score with a big shot blocker to erase def mistakes (allowing guys to drive)..it's what he said on the radio on espn the other day.

Assuming at least one of the big men recruits works out next year Spangler would be a 4. Still most of his offensive would come off of offensive boards, backside cuts and the like. He has shown some ability to knock down jumpers from the 15 ft range. Sometimes he actually shoots better from the floor than from the free throw line. Defensively it would afford him better matchups and could still work the boards effectively (IMO).
