Wow, that was an ugly game. Once again, we played mediocre defense and gave up way to many offensive boards. Spangler played well in the 2nd after not showing up in the first half.

I was so annoyed with how we played to start the second half that I finished my Christmas thank yous. As it turns out, I should have also sent one to Ryan Spangler for coming to OU, even if he took a Gonzaga detour along the way :P

Lackluster performance on defense.

Lots of sloppy play in the middle of the game.

Where was our freshman point guard ? Hornbeak had some good minutes tho.

That Spangler 3 pointer at the end iced it but I'd rather not see him take another shot like that again.

A much needed win. Every one is important with the middle of the conference pack so crowded.

Had to expect a little bit of a let down after the rough scheduling to open Big 12 play. Happy to come out of their with a win. A win tomorrow will be huge with little brother coming to town Monday night.

I hate to say it but I think ANY road game will be tough. SHOULD we handle tt? yes. Wouldn't surprise me to lose Sat and win Monday, win both or lose both. I still just haven't got a feel for this team. I just try to enjoy watching them...they work hard and together, that's all ya can ask for.

This team plays to the level of their competition. Good or bad.

Earlier this year, I thought it was just coincidence that it happened, but it's become a pattern now. The upside is that we can play with anyone in the conference. The downside is that no win is guaranteed (not that they ever are, but the winnable games become more of a challenge).

It doesn't help that the Big XII is so competitive this year. Although, that may pay dividends in March.

the L at TCU last season was kinda almost pretty costly...and a little embarrassing. we play up and down to competition for sure but maybe we have some coaching/matchup issues with TCU as well.

i'm pretty happy with the first part of the season given the schedule....maybe we'll have to reinvent ourselves a bit after that hairy stretch. i give us B+ so far in conference.

yes I'm pleased as well. Good news is we start 3 soph 1 fr and a sr. Neal graduating isn't huge. CC will be missed but I really like what we have coming back for next year..some length coming in as well. Sitting in 2nd at this point is great. We need a strong 3 days here. 2 wins would really be sweet.

Alvin Adams set a school record for rebound his first game. If I remember correctly. I was there, in the Fieldhouse.

I really wouldn't compare him to Spangler tho.

Adams was graceful. Spangler is just tough.
