If you're allowed to ban same sex marriage, what is stopping you from banning same species marriages? Humans will be forced to marry alligators and vice versa.

So Jim Bridenstine (OK Congressman) was on the Laura Ingram show this morning spewing trash about how the Founding Fathers never intended the 14th amendment to be used to redefine marriage, so this issue had nothing to do with equal protection.

I'll let you read that again so that it sinks in.

I met him at a fund raiser a couple of years ago. Very nice guy. You did wonder, looking into his eyes, however, whether you could actually read signs on the wall behind his head. You'd ask a question, get a vaguely on point answer, ask him to expand and he'd literally stand there, staring for a few seconds as the tape rewound and then give you verbatum the same answer.
