Think FSU will win ... pulling for Auburn, though. Part is conference and that we played them ... part if because I just don't like Florida St. ... part is its hard to look at Winston and think "what if ... " May not be fair but it's honest.

Typically, I would want the SEC team to go down in flames, but after our win, I really don't care (after all, we beat the SECs best). I'm hoping for a good game, but I have a feeling FSU will roll.

The Rose, Sugar and Orange were all pretty good games, which means we're probably due for a clunker.

but after our win, I really don't care (after all, we beat the SECs best).

There's real validity here. I know a lot of people are sick of the SEC ... and I understand why. Oklahoma is in a unique position though in that with the Sugar Bowl win ... conference smack ... SEC this or that ... just doesn't matter. The Sooners have the ace in the hole ... "don't care ... beat Bama."

Hate to be this guy... But has anyone else noticed how terrible these refs are calling it so far? That auburn back clearly didn't have the first down imo, or at the very least was inches away, they spotted it an entire foot or two generous.

Also maybe it is just the camera view but it looks like the auburn d-line is lined up in the neutral zone almost every play.

Very true. I still want fsu to win though because media idiots, among other idiots, don't think about it in the way you pointed out. They would just say oh well auburn must have been ALOT better since they won and bama lost.

Yea they have been pretty terrible this game. The 2nd or 3rd possesion auburn had, they spotted the ball an entire foot or two generous when the rb was clearly down before the first, at the very least he might have been an inch back or forward from the first, not an entire foot or so. They didnt even have to bring the chains out because the spot was so bad.

Also there has been about 6 late hits out of bounds, but i am fine with that since they usually call it way too much.

Been a good game but not a great game ... Sugar, Cotton, Orange, Rose have been more entertaining contests. The bowls also highlight how difficult the selection committee will have it.

Most likely if we had the 4 team playoff this yr it would have been FSU, Auburn, Bama, Stanford. But Bama and Stanford lost, Stanford to the team they would have edged out, in their respective bowls and FSU and Auburn have looked sloppy. Hard to know who the top teams really are.

Better team won ... down side is hearing all about Winston ... I know he wasn't charged ... but so much about all of that bothers me ... a part of me can't help but think he got away with a serious crime and I don't want to feel like that but I do.

Now we stick a fork in the BCS era and move on to the fun that will be the playoffs.

He was proven innocent and unless the accuser's attorny proves the local precinct mishandled evidence, the evidence and constant changing statements by the accuser shows he was innocent. He played a great game after being pretty bad in the 1st quarter and etc, so don't even bring that crap into this

Innocent until proven guilty applies to those accused of rape as well as those accused of cheating (ala JFF).

In the mean time, join me in a cheer. Our subdivision won tonight! FBS! FBS! FBS!

Jeez, Musburger is so obnoxious. Three seconds left in the game and all he can talk about is the SEC. When it's over, all he can talk about is the SEC. When the game was going on, all he could talk about is the SEC. That old man just needs to die already.

I do like the way he gave Auburn the big lead and all the momentum before pulling out the smite hammer. Shows a flare for drama.

A lot of these media people act like they have never played the game before. Anything can happen in football, and power rankings week by week for conference is one thing, but saying the SEC is end all is just idiotic.

Wrong!! He was not charged because the accuser changed story multiple times! Not credible!!!

I was impressed how he gave credit to God in the post game interview. I wonder if he
thanked God for allowing his team mates to troll a girl bombed out of her mind to his apartment so he could have his way with her.

Good times.

I am glad FSU won now I can take a shower, get clean and start hating them again.

OU should be really good next year and has a schedule to make a push for the conference title and one of the four playoff spots.

As for the SEC ... the run is over ... but I don't think the conference is "done," lol. Bama, Auburn, LSU ain't going away ... and who knows who may surprise like Auburn did this year. The book closes on the BCS era with the SEC claiming 9 titles out of 16 ... next best in Big-12 with 2 and ACC with 2.

We'll see how the playoff structure works ... it should be fun.

They get Heather Cox and we get Holly Rowe? WTF?

To be honest, ESPN's radio coverage was Mike Tirico w/ Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe and Joe Schad on the sidelines, so technically they still had Holly Rowe also.

On a more serious note, I'd rather have Holly Rowe if it means getting Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge calling the game instead of Brent Lushberger calling it.

Another potentially big missed call by the refs was on that FSU interception. The player that intercepted fumbled the ball because he was tackled by a blatant leg whip. Fortunately, another FSU player recovered, but they should have gotten the 15 tacked onto the return. Had Auburn recovered, it would have been a huge screw job.

I didn't notice that. I did notice, however, that FSU got flagged because a guy was talking trash back to the bench. Auburn scores, spikes the ball (penalty), then does a Heisman showoff pose for the camera (shouldn't be a penalty, but if you can't talk trash to the bench who has been talking trash at you, I don't see why you can't be flagged for posing). And on top of that, there was the blatant horsecollar on the long run that could've ended up being huge.

In the end, it all worked out, but those were curious officiating mistakes.

Exact same play, exact same player, commited a facemask while doing the horse collar. The refs were just disgusting in this game. How the hell do you miss TWO facemask with the zebra right there by the play each time

Nobody said the SEC is going away but maybe a few more losses will tamper the completely over the top rhetoric.

As an example, how many times did they mention Missouri's defense was a big fast SEC defense during the Cotton Bowl. I suspect that was the same damn defense that would have played in the Big 12 yet you put a SEC label on it and all of a sudden the superlatives start flying. No idea why Fox guys seem to follow the ESPN company line. Ridiculous!

Yep he did both. Big miss by the officials.

And Auburn fans are complaining about officiating especially the holding call against them which was blatant. (Fans don't understand that grabbing the shirt with the arms between pads is done on every play and is never called. Extending arms to the side, wrapping around, or pulling when player is attempting to move away from blocker is called.)

Hey come on. Their on-the-field officiating is just an extension of that "flexible" West Coast Lifestyle. Let's just say PAC 12 officials employ a broad interpretation of the rules.

Completely classless tweet.

In the end this isn't about Winston's language. It's about a public figure and mom of a fellow college quarterback attempting to downgrade a player in the biggest moment of his life. McCarron's mom's tweet was not constructive criticism. It clearly reeked of jealousy and mean-spiritedness and is below the behavior expected of someone in her position.

If she is truly worried about the state of education within college athletic departments, she can find players who are much more in need of tutoring on the proper use of grammar within Alabama or Auburn's football rosters. (Frankly, we have some players on our own roster who struggle to speak at all and make Winston look like a Rhodes Scholar.)
