9/11 Memorial

I am sitting in front of the 9/11 memorial. It is hard to believe the towers are gone! Everyone here is very respectful. Not much talking. The sun is setting and it is very sureal. The amount of security is more than expected. The new buildings are beautiful but I wish they had built the towers back. If you come here get passes online. The wait to get them at the door is long. I will try to post pics when I get back.

Just found Todd Beamer's name. Someone put flowers by his name. What a brave man. Many prayers.

It looks like entire fire companies were wiped out and entire ladder crews.

Man it is crowded. We are staying at Times Square and it is wall to wall people.

One picture burnt into my mind is one of a fireman carrying a hose
looped over his shoulder running UP the stairs of one of the towers
to help where he could. Hard to wrap my mind around so many lost,
senseless....
