I'd like to see him in the backfield on a goal line offense.

I'll do the guy a solid and gives the Rivals link. They seem to like him better. Actually I thought they offered this guy a while back.

Au has had an offer for a long time, and is ready to commit to the Sooners (has been for months), but there is an academic issue. That's the risk with the JUCO guys.

He was offered back in April.

Is North Texas or Akron after this guy, is that why we want him?

Can he play on our basketball team too?

As much as we like to change players positions this would be cool. We could recruit him to play football, then when he gets here we could tell him he's switching sports to B-ball.

I don't think we even bother to offer guys those two are after.

unattainable?

Yep! I guess that's why we don't recruit against Alabama, aTm, and the like now. Better off squaring off against North Texas & New Mexico. And I think we have ULM's number too.

Rivals gives him four stars and indicates we are battling Colorado for him. If we can't beat out CU, we might as well give up.

This might a good recruiting tact. We have already shown we are able to go head to head in recruiting battles with New Mexico St and Middle Tennesse etc.. Maybe we should just wait and raid their recruiting committments. Save on travel expenses and the like. We don't care about no stinkin stars by the side of names.

Why not?? And yeah, we either don't care about the number of stars, or we do, but since our recruits don't have many of em we're only saying we don't care???

There is no "battle". Au is a Sooner if OU decides to take the risk. Has been for a long time. He just has to get his grades together.

Hey, if it doesn't work out on the football team, I'd LOVE to have more size on our men's bball squad. However, Lon would probably want more than just 6-10 as credentials on his NCAA tourney team :)

Don't forget, weed is legal in CO.

but not for NCAA. That is going to be an interesting point at some time in the not too distant future.

But neither the NCAA thing nor the legal status of weed seems to have stopped the player usage. :)
- I was just pointing out that CU does have some unique recruiting angles.
- I was joking :)

I don't know, when you watch the starting lineups of the NFL a bunch of players come from these type schools. Turning over every rock could pay dividends.

Colorado...see the thread that compares our current class to that of Colorado. About identical except for offensive skill players.
