...well probably not ever but the largest I've ever seen. It was hanging off of my roof.

You realize that when you find something like that hanging off your roof, it means your ceiling insulation isn't worth a damn.

Weird. My ceiling and insulation are in very good shape. My gutters need some work though.

Just telling you something everyone who lives in the Northeast knows, those really long icicles form when a building is losing a lot of heat through the ceiling and it is melting the underside of the ice on the roof. The runoff refreezes because the temperature is still below 32 F.
