yes bored...

I counted 17 Sr's

Not sure about Evans..did he get a med hardship?

10 on OFF
6 on Def
1 on SP (Woods, deep snapper)

of those...
I counted:
10 VERY IMPORTANT (Saunders for ex)
(7 on off - 3 oline, 2 rb 1 fb 1 wr)
5 sorta important...(JUST my opinion)...
2 out

of the 17 - 2 were out and we had other guys step up: Millard and Nelson. so we played at least half the season without them.

Future looks bright.

When will we hear on Nelson's possible 6th year? That would be huge.

It's the NCAA.
Sit down and figure out a time ridiculously far in the future. A time months after all possible data and input has been gathered and months after any initerested party has had a chance to comment, then comment again, and again. The figure out when it could possibly hurt the player and the team the worst.

That's when the NCAA will announce their decision.

and, until such time, the player in question will have to live, naked, inside Superman's Cone of Solitude having no contact with anyone who could be legally defined as human. Or OU will have to forfeit all games, past, present and future in all sports.

I wish we knew more about Phillips situation with his back. Given that it is a back problem, I'm not optimistic, but he was the biggest loss on defense. He made his presence felt very early on.

A decision on Nelson was supposedly going to be issued "in December," iirc Stoops' press conference answer.

Correct, Nelson was denied by the Big XII, the appeal is in to the NCAA.

4 of the last 5 at home...I like it

Also a brutal four games out of town run...Tulsa, WVU, TCU and Texas. Plus going into the hellhole that is Lubbock, Texas. Not so sure I like this schedule all that much.

That's what I meant. I think I read from Stoops' last press conference transcript that he thought they'd hear something on the appeal in December.

Thanks for this. One question: where is Millard?

Really? The state those teams are currently in doesn't exactly make it a murderers row.

yeah, I agree, the only one I'd say is "bad" is wv...we already go to Dallas, been to tcu, and tulsa, well it's tulsa.

I'm thinking of the toll traveling takes on game prep and the like. Tulsa is a bus ride and not too far away. WVU is a heckuva long plane ride. Then to go to TCU one weekend and the next weekend to go BACK to the DFW area...crazy. Almost wish they could do what the 49ers do: go down for the TCU game and stay there for a week and play the following Saturday.

Good catch. I guess I never included him (that post has been up for a while, but I think most people just look at the underclassmen/incoming class).

Fixed.

3 of those 4 will be half OU fans in the stadium. The long ride to WV and Lubbock look testy, and we get OSU, Tenn, Baylor at home..

I'm liking it..

We have a lack of big WRs we need to address. I wonder how man of our current commits for 2014 will be ready to play in the fall. Andrews, Mead, and Todd are all big boys. I think Todd will be here for spring ball.

We'll be fine. Dannon Cavil (6'5") was an early enrollee, and he could have played this year if needed. Fortunately, he was able to redshirt, but he'll definitely see action next season. Durron Neal isn't a little guy, and he'll take Bester's spot in 2014. I would also be surprised if Todd ends up redshirting next year. We'll be in good shape.

just as long as we're not playing Iowa St on a Thursday night. That kind of travesty should only be reserved for Texas......or Kansas.

This is like getting the answers to a test without knowing what questions they hook up to....hopefully we can find someone to throw it to them too...unless the plan is to just make them all decepticon downfield blockers.
