Bob Stoops needed a game-tying touchdown so he turned to his kicker. Trailing 17-10 in the third quarter, Oklahoma lined up for a field goal to cut the deficit to four. But the Sooners ran a fake, which called for kicker Michael Hunnicutt to run a wheel route to the left. Holder Grant Bothun, a receiver by trade, rolled out with Hunnicutt and completed the pass to him and Hunnicutt crossed the goal line before getting drilled. Hunnicutt lost the ball on the hit, but the play was upheld on replay review as it was determined his crossing of the goal line was a second act after the catch. That was a play after Brannon Green lost the ball immediately after getting hit when he caught a pass in the end zone and it ended up incomplete. - - - - - - - Nick Bromberg is the assistant editor of Dr. Saturday on Yahoo Sports.
