Exactly right. It's sad that in this country we have to punitively punish everyone for every minor transgression.

They could have just told them to knock it off, retaken the pics, and been done with it. If they insisted on punishment, they could have just dropped that photo entirely from the yearbook.

It's that some people see the DEATH OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION every time someone inadvertantly drops a tooth pick wrapper or some such. And then these people have discovered that they can be insistently screechy about it and ultimately someone in authority will be forced to throw them a bone to shut them up or face endless crap from said dedicated groups anytime the authority/management type tries to get anything else done.

What should happen is the principal or whoever should tell the folks who complain to go **** off forever and be done with it. Pissants in our society have gotten way too much respect in recent years. They need to be reacquainted with the taste of a mailed fist.

That little hand signal got these girls in trouble is absurd.

A look at the candid shots in my highschool yearbook would reveal more middle fingers than you'd see at a Miami Heat/Cleveland Cavs game.

If nothing else, someone on the yearbook staff could have photo shopped a third finger in if it bothered em that much.
